SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 25 Jul'23

SteelMint's billet index fell by INR 200/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 40,350/t exw-Raipur on 24 July, 2023. Transactions for 3,160 t were re corded on 24 July as against 1,800 t on 22 July.

Indian sponge iron prices edged down today, ranging from INR 50-350/t in the major locations. Transactions for around 12,400 t of sponge iron were recorded on 24 July, against 7,350 t recorded on 22 July.

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index has fallen by INR 2,800/tonne (t) in the past three weeks. Prices have come down to INR 38,900/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 24 July from INR 41,700/t on 1 July. If we see on a d-o-d basis, the index has dipped by INR 400/t.
