SteelMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, remained stable at INR 9,300/t DAP Raipur on 25 April 2023 compared to the previous assessment on 21 April. Pellet prices remained stable as sponge iron ore prices decreased this week. A deal of 5,000 t was concluded at INR 9,250/t DAP Raipur.

SteelMint's billet index fell by INR 200/tonne (t) exw-Raipur on April 25, 2023, to INR 45,800/tonne (t). Billet index dropped on a sluggish trend in semi-finished and finished steel across India. Meanwhile, buying activity jumped on lower offerings. Transactions of around 6,400 t were recorded on 25 April in Raipur as against 4,150 t on 24 April.

SteelMint's India HRC (SAE1006) export index fell by $10/t w-o-w to $685/t FOB east coast against $695/t FOB seen a week ago.
