SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 24 Nov'22

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index fell by INR 800/tonne (t) to INR 38,000/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 24 November, 2022. Low demand for semi-finished steel and finished products put downward pressure on scrap prices.

SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 40,000/tonne (t) (- INR 1,000/t) exw-Raipur on 24 November, 2022. About 2,570 t of spot billet trades were recorded on 25 November in Raipur as against 3,700 t on 23 November.

India's rebars production stood at 3.10 mnt in Oct'22, up 9% from 2.84 mnt a month ago, as per Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. Production increased by 24% y-o-y as against 2.50 mnt in Oct'21
