SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 22 Sep'22

SteelMint's daily sponge iron, CDRI index, was assessed at INR 33,500/tonne (t) (- INR 500) exw-Rourkela on 22 September, 2022. About 2,100 t of transactions were recorded on 22 September as against 4,760 t on 21 September. Price corrections are making market participants wary, resulting in fewer enquiries. As a result, the index fell d-o-d.

SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed as stable at INR 47,400/tonne (t), exw-Raipur, on 22 September, 2022. About 3,450 t of transactions were recorded on 22 September, slightly up over 3,320 t on 21 September. Firm demand for billets and active finished steel sales, especially in wire rods, kept the index stable in terms of day trades.
