SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 2 Dec'22

SteelMint's bi-weekly domestic pellets (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, stood at INR 8,400/tonne (t), down by INR 100/t on 2 December compared to the last assessment on 29 November, 2022. Around 8,000 t of deals were reported. Trade activities continue to remain limited on subdued deals in the sponge iron segment seen today.

SteelMint's daily sponge iron, CDRI, index was assessed at INR 31,000/tonne (t) (- INR 100) exw-Rourkela on 2 December, 2022. While the index dropped, trade volumes improved marginally but remained below average, and offers softened as a result. About 2,300 t of transactions were recorded on 2 December as against 1,800 t on 1 December.
