SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 19 Jul'23

SteelMint's bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, decreased marginally by INR 50/tonne (t) w-o-w to INR 8,950/t DAP Raipur on 18 July, 2023 as compared to the last assessment on 14 July. Deals of around 5,000 t were recorded at INR 8,950/t (Fe 63%) DAP in this publishing window.

SteelMint's India HRC (SAE1006) export index remained stable w-o-w at $570-575/tonne (t) FOB east coast India. "Indian mills seem to be holding export offers due to maintenance shutdown, which is impacting export allocations," a source informed. Meanwhile, no offers were heard from India to Vietnam.

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index remained stable at INR 40,300/tonne (t) DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 18 July, 2023.
