SteelMint's billet index rose by INR 300 per tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 45,250/t exw Raipur on 18 September, 2023. Total transactions of 2,440 t of billets were recorded on 18 September as against 700 t on 16 September.

Sponge iron prices in India rose by INR 150-750/t across key locations. About 17,050 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 18 September compared to 3,400 t on 16 September.
