SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 17 Jun'23

SteelMint's weekly Odisha iron ore fines (Fe 62%) index dropped by INR 300/t w-o-w to INR 5,200/t ex-mines on 17 June, 2023 compared to the last assessment on 10 June.

SteelMint's domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index dropped INR 100/t d-o-d to INR 43,100/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 17 June, 2023. The Mandi market saw limited demand for semis and finished steel.

Sponge iron prices in India remained more or less stable d-o-d in the key markets. About 4,150 tonnes (t) of transactions were recorded on 17 June across India as against 17,750 t on 16 June.
