SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 15 Jul'23

SteelMint's weekly Odisha iron ore fines (Fe 62%) index decreased by INR 100/t to INR 4,700/t ex-mines on 15 July, 2023 compared to the last assessment on 8 July. The absence of active trades and fall in sponge prices have kept fines prices under pressure this week.

Sponge iron prices in India dropped further on 15 July 2023, by INR 50-250/tonne (t) in major markets on limited trading. About 12,700 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded on 15 July as against 14,070 t on 14 July.

SteelMint's billet index decreased by INR 150/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 40,800/t exw-Raipur on 15 July, 2023.The index fell due to sluggish demand in the finished steel segment.Around 4,650 t of trades were recorded compared to 1,900 t on 14 July.
