SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 15 Dec'22

SteelMint's daily sponge iron, CDRI, index was assessed at INR 31,150/tonne (t) (- INR 250) exw-Rourkela on 15 December, 2022. The index declined amid witnessing weak buying activity and limited trading throughout the day. Lack of buying interest resulted in low spot trades. About 1,050 t of transactions were recorded on 15 December as against 800 t on 14 December.

SteelMint's daily steel billet feel to INR 43,350/tonne (t) (- INR 250/) d-o-d exw-Raipur on 15 December, 2022. The index declined due to minimal buying in the market today owing to volatile sentiments and also due to low demand for semis and finished steel. Billet transactions of around 1,520 t were recorded on 15 December in Raipur as against 1600 t as reported on 14 December.
