SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 14 Feb'23

SteelMint's bi-weekly domestic pellets (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, stood at INR 9,950/tonne (t) DAP Raipur, inching down further by INR 50/t compared to the last assessment on 10 February, 2023.

Sponge iron prices in India have been on the rise since the last few days. Prices have increased by INR 250-600/t in key locations on the back of active demand. About 25,020 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded on 14 February pan India as against 24,610 t on 13 February.

SteelMint's billet index rose sharply by INR 700/tonne (t) to INR 45,800/t exw-Raipur on 14 February, 2023. The index jumped on the back of strong buying at increased price levels. Transactions of 3,470 t were recorded on 14 February in Raipur as against 5,500 t reported on 13 February.
