SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 1 Jul'23

SteelMint's weekly Odisha iron ore fines (Fe 62%) index decreased by INR 250/t to INR 4,950/t ex-mines on 1 July, 2023 compared to the last assessment on 24 June.

Sponge iron prices decreased in the range of INR 50-200/tonne (t) in major markets of India on 1 July, 2023. About 3,960 tonnes (t) of sponge iron transactions were recorded on 1 July in the country as against 24,660 t on 30 June.

SteelMint's billet index dropped again by INR 150/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 43,000/t exw-Raipur on 1 July 2023. The index edged lower due to weak demand and slower offtake in the finished steel segment. About 1,250 t of transactions were recorded on 1 July as against 2,250 t on 30 June.
