SteelMint Daily Trade Sheet - 07 Sep'22

SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant held three auctions for a total of 4,150 t of steel grade pig iron on 7 Sept'22. The first two auctions were for 2,000 t (1 rake) each which got booked at an average price of INR 43,350/t and INR 44,050/t exw respectively. While, 150 t was booked at around INR 44,600/t exw.

SteelMint's daily sponge iron, CDRI, index was assessed at INR 34,600/tonne (t) (- INR 100) exw-Rourkela on 7 September, 2022. About 5,500 t of transactions were recorded on 7 September as against 1,600 t on 6 September. Even though the index fell, spot trades rose.

SteelMint's daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 47,250/tonne (t) (+ INR 100/t) exw-Raipur on 7 September, 2022. About 4,300 t of transactions were recorded on 7 September as against 1,900 t on 6 September. The index recovered on improved bids following a price rally in the northern region. Thus spot demand for finished steel products also gained in Raipur.
