South Korea Steel Imports Up in Oct'19

As per the customs data maintained with SteelMint, South Korean imports of raw material to finished steel increased M-o-M in Oct'19.
Coal- South Korean Coal import gain by 17.37% to 13.44 MnT M-o-M in Oct'19 than the 11.45 MnT in Sep'19. Also, on yearly basis import up by 13.22% against 11.87 MnT in Oct'18.
Iron Ore- Iron Ore import by country on monthly basis is registered at 7.21 MnT in Oct'19, higher by 40.27% as against 5.14 MnT in Sep'19 and on yearly basis also imports increased by 17.62% against 6.13 MnT in Oct'18.
Ferrous Scrap- On monthly basis country's ferrous scrap import was recorded at 0.47 MnT in Oct'19 surged by 17.5% as compared to 0.4 MnT in Sep'19, whereas on yearly premises imports down by 9.61% in Oct'19 as against 0.52 MnT in Oct'18.
Semi Finish- The country's semi-finish (Billet/Pig iron) import is registered at 0.21 MnT in Oct'19, rally by 75% as against 0.12 MnT in Sep'19 and on yearly premises import remain stable at 0.21 MnT in Oct'18.
Finish Long Steel- South Korean finish long steel imports registered at 0.19 MnT in Oct'19 surged by 18.75% M-o-M as against 0.16 MnT in Sep'19. However on yearly premises, the country's import of finished long steel is plunged by 13.63% in Oct'19 as against 0.22 MnT in Oct'18.
Finish Flat Steel- On a monthly basis the country's flat steel import is recorded at 0.77 MnT in Oct'19 marginal up by 4% against 0.74 MnT in Sep'19. Also on Y-o-Y basis, imports surged by 8.45% in Oct'19 as compared to 0.71 MnT in Oct'18.
Finish Flat Stainless Steel import is registered at 72,952 MT in Oct'19 inch up by 2.3% against 71,328 MT in Sep'19 and on a yearly basis imports down by 7.3% in Oct'19 from 78,660 MT in Oct'18.
Ferro Alloy- South Korean Ferro alloy import on monthly basis is registered at 78,301 MT in Oct'19 increased by 15.6% as compared to 67,763 MT in Sep'19 and Y-o-Y imports up around 1% in Oct'19 as against 77,650 MT in Oct'18.
Graphite Electrode- On M-o-M South Korea Graphite Electrode import is registered at 3,805 MT in Oct'19 stable against previous month and on a yearly basis imports decline by 20.4% in Oct'19 as against 4,780 MT in Oct'18.
