South Korea Steel Export Statistics in Q3 CY'19

As per data maintained with SteelMint, the export log of South Korea for the Q3 CY'19 period is as follows.
1: Semi-finished exports fell significantly by 35% and stood at 66,180 MT in Q3 CY'19 which was 1,01,643 MnT in the preceding quarter. Meanwhile, in Sep'19, the same fell by 7% to 19,113 MT over 20,651 MT in Aug'19.
2: The finish-long exports inched up by 4% to 6,27,587 MT in Q3 as against 6,04,768 MT in the earlier quarter. However, the same fell marginally by 3% to 2,02,336 MT in Sep'19 in comparison with 2,08,439 MT in Aug'19.
3: The finish-flat exports inched down by 1% to 59,43,758 MT in Q3 as compared to 59,82,630 MT in the preceding quarter. However, on a monthly premise, the same fell by 9% to 18,66,440 MT in Sep'19, which was 20,41,656 MT in Aug'19.
Weakening market conditions in India with dwindling demand and falling prices during the (Jul-Sep) Q3, led to a decline of 9% in the Korean steel exports to 6,75,911 MT, which was 7,42,637 MT in Q2.
Further, the global market sentiments started to weaken owing to prolonged USA-China trade spat. This became a barrier in the nation's exports to China, inching down 2% to 8,08,267 MT in Q3 in comparison with 8,24,561 MT in Q2. However, exports to china witnessed a fall of 5% M-o-M to 2,64,771 MT in Sep'19.
4: The nation's ferro alloy exports in Q3 stood at 42,761 MT, recording a fall of 13% over 49,211 MT in Q2. However, the same tumbled by 15% to 12,399 MT in Sep'19, in comparison with 14,577 MT in Aug'19.
