South Korea: Color steel sheets production, sales rise y-o-y in Feb'22

South Korea's color steel sheet production stood at 186,987 tonnes (t) in Feb'22, up 10% against 169,754 t in the corresponding period last year. However, the same inched down 7% against 200,283 t in Jan'22.

During the first two months of the current calendar year (Jan-Feb'22), production volumes aggregated to 387,270 t, up 7% in contrast with 366,986 t seen in the corresponding period last year.

Sales

Color steel sheets' sales rose to 180,978 t in Feb'22 against 166,694 t in the same period last year. In contrast, on a m-o-m basis, the same dropped 11% against 203,927 t in Jan'22.

Domestic sales accounted for 92,576 t (up 6%, y-o-y), while exports stood at 88,402 t (up 11% y-o-y) out of the total sales in Feb'22.

Cumulative sales aggregated to 384,905 t in Jan-Feb'22 versus 348,378 t in the same period a year ago.
