South Asia's imported scrap market began the week on a subdued note, amid raised offers. Indian and Pakistani buyers concluded deals in small quantities. However, Bangladesh's market remained silent with buyers waiting to get clearer market directions.
- A total of 1,350 tonnes (t) of shredded scrap from Europe were booked at $510-520/t. As per SteelMint's assessment, Europe-origin shredded scrap stands at $515-520/t CFR Nhava Sheva, up $3/t w-o-w.
- Around 500 t of shredded scrap from Europe were concluded at $520/t. As per SteelMint's assessment, Europe-origin shredded scrap stands at $515-520/t CFR Pakistan, up $5/t against the previous weekend.
