South Asia's imported ferrous scrap prices continued to move downwards. Indian market recorded a few transactions today at lower rates for Dubai-origin material. Meanwhile, in Pakistan, multiple deals took place.
- 300 t UAE-origin HMS 1 was sold at $505/t CFR Nhava Sheva recently. Fresh offers for UK-origin shredded are at $530/t CFR levels, down $3/t d-o-d.
- Around 2,000 t UK-origin shredded was traded at $520/t CFR, Pakistan. Offers slipped by $5/t d-o-d to $520/t, CFR Qasim.
- Bangladeshi buyers remained silent yet another day even when offers dropped. SteelMint's assessment for UK-origin shredded stands at $540/t CFR, Nhava Sheva, down by $10/t d-o-d.
