The imported ferrous scrap market in South Asia witnessed few trade deals as majority of buyers continued to wait for further clarity before concluding deals as today was the first day of the week.
- Pakistan's imported shredded scrap prices of UK-origin are assessed at $530/t, CFR Pakistan, down by $5-10/t against the closing of last week. Around 2,500 t of shredded scrap deals have been recorded by SteelMint at $525/t, CFR levels.
- Bangladesh's imported scrap prices remained largely range-bound today with no major deals being recorded.
- Imported scrap prices in India also remained largely unchanged amidst less trade and drop in domestic steel prices.
