South Africa: Ferro Alloy Exports Up by 1.1% M-o-M in Jul'17

According to the South African customs, the country has witnessed a marginal increase of 1.1% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy exports.
In Jul'17, South Africa exported a total of 2.74 MnT Ferro Alloys, Manganese Ore and Chrome Ore against 2.71 MnT in Jun'17. Moreover, on yearly basis, there has been a substantial increase of 34% Y-o-Y in its export volume which stood at 2.05 MnT in Jul'16.
Manganese Ore occupied the major volume of South African Ferro Alloy exports at 1.50 MnT in Jul'17, registering an increase of 5% M-o-M. Moreover, Ferro Chrome exports witnessed an increase of 16% M-o-M in Jul'17. While, Chrome Ore exports stood at 0.95 MnT in Jul'17, witnessing a decrease of 6% M-o-M against Jun'17
South Africa also exported 0.95 MnT Chrome Ore in Jul'17, witnessing a decrease of 6% M-o-M against Jun'17 along with Silico Manganese exports at 0.01 MnT in Jul'17 against 0.02 MnT in Jun'17.
China remains the largest importer of South African Ferro Alloys and Ores at 1.29 MnT in Jul'17, recording a decrease of 13% against 1.43 MnT in Jun'17. In Jul'17, Mozambique reclaimed its position to become the second largest importer of South African Ferro alloys (including Manganese Ore and Chrome Ore) at 0.38 MnT while India imported 0.23 MnT.
