SE Asia - Offers for Imported Scrap Move Up on Global Strengthening

Offers for imported scrap to Vietnam moved up over the week with both Japanese export offers as well as North American prices gaining strength, however trades to Vietnam remained limited.

Japanese H2 scrap in bulk was offered at USD 240-243/MT CFR North Vietnam, up from USD 228/MT CFR in the week before, while offers to South Vietnam mills were around USD 230/MT CFR. Hong Kong Origin AB (50:50) is being offered at around USD 238-240/MT CFR Vietnam.

HMS offers to moved up, with USA origin HMS in bulk being offered at around of USD 240-248/MT CFR, depending on quality, while Australian origin HMS (80:20) was offered at USD 246/MT CFR.

Indonesia - No trades for imported P&S was recorded over the last week on stark difference between bids and offers. Some offers for P&S were reported at USD 250/MT CFR Jakarta from different origins, while buyers bid stood at USD 230/MT CFR

Thailand - Bulk HMS offers from Central America were reported in the range USD 230-240/MT CFR Thailand. However no significant trades were reported.
