Russia Pig iron Exports Jump Up by 129% in Nov'17

Russia, the world's largest pig iron exporter, has registered an export of around 0.48 MnT Pig iron during Nov'17 as per nation's custom data showed

The exports have registered a sharp rise of 128.57% M-o-M in Nov'17 against 0.21 MnT in Oct'17. During Nov'17, United States has imported approximately 48% (0.23 MnT) of Russian Pig Iron. However it was also noticed that Pig iron import of U.S. from Russia gained by around 53% M-o-M & stood at 0.23 MnT against 0.15 MnT in Oct'17.

In contrary, fall is being reported in the first 11 months of CY17 by 12.84% as the country's total pig iron exports stood at 4.07 MnT against 4.67 MnT in the same duration of CY16. In line, on yearly premises the exports lifted up by 14.28% in Nov'17 against 0.42 MnT in Nov'16.

Unload Countries

In Nov'17 United States & Italy remains the largest buyer of Russian made pig iron. While no major imports of pig iron seen in the month by Turkey. Besides Taiwan, Belarus, Poland along with Germany stands with same quantity i:e; 0.01 MnT.

In CY17 (Jan-Nov) - United States, Turkey, Italy & Spain was the major buyer of Russian made pig iron which imported about 2.59 MnT, 0.38 MnT, 0.34 MnT & 0.18 MnT, respectively.

In context to export prices, global offers for steel grade pig Iron is assessed at USD 390-395/MT FOB India, USD 360-365/MT FOB Russia & USD 355-360/MT FOB Brazil.
