Russia Finish Long Steel Exports Elongated by 4% in Feb'18.

Russia, the world's 5th largest steel producer country witnessed slight improvement in its long steel exports by about 10,000 MT (3.7%) in the month of Feb'18 on monthly comparison.
As per the customs, the nation has exported about 280,000 MT Finish Long steel in February 2018 against 270,000 MT in January 2018, head by 4% on monthly premises. In line with Y-o-Y, exports were gain by 8% against 260,000 MT in Feb'17.
Considerably sub-commodity wise Bar's & Rods have contributed the major exports proportionate and registered 200,000 MT contributes around 71.42% followed by Angle and Shapes 60,000 MT registered at 21.43% and MS Wire 20,000 MT stood at 7.14%.
As per the SteelMint's assessment in February 2018, the crude steel production of the Russia was around 5.15 MnT which has been dropped by around 10% from 5.7 MnT in January. However, on the other hand ferrous scrap exports seems stable with 0.33 MnT each in Jan & Feb'18.

In the month of February 2018, the largest importer of Finish Long Steel from Russia was Kazakhstan - 50,000 MT, Belarus at 30,000 MT & Poland at 30,000 MT.
