Pricing Notice: Resumption of Melting Scrap Assessments

With resumption in spot steel trade activities in few major markets in India, SteelMint is resuming price assessments for domestic Melting Scrap (specified locations) & Ship Breaking scrap from today (12th May'20) onwards on a daily basis.

The prices will be updated by 14:00 IST. Simultaneously as trades pick up, frequency of price updates will be increased gradually to twice on a day basis.

Limited trades are taking place as few secondary major mills have re-started operations, while standalone Induction Furnace (IF) are still aiming to clear previous scrap stock, followed by which they are planning to resume procurement.
