Pakistan Mills Resume HRC Imports After Lockdown

One of the major cold-rolled re rollers based in Pakistan booked around 20,000 MT HRC at USD 415/MT CFR basis from Japan for July shipments, SteelMint learned from its sources.

Meanwhile, few other steel mills in Pakistan are trying to negotiate for another HRC booking of 20,000 MT for July deliveries.

On the other hand, Pakistani steel mills have lowered domestic CRC prices by PKR 3,000/MT.

A Pakistan based market participant shared with SteelMint last week that "We are expecting some relaxations in lockdown from next Monday."

Imported HRC offers to Pakistan-

--Chinese steel mills are offering HRC (SAE 1006) at around USD 430/MT CFR basis.

--Meanwhile, mills in South Korean mills are also indicating HRC offers at USD 430/MT CFR.

--Prices from Japan and Taiwan is expected next week but it is anticipated at around USD 420/ MT CFR.

All prices mentioned above are for July shipments.
