Rise in global iron ore price has favored domestic iron ore price hike. Odisha based major miners raised prices twice in the month of May'19 each time by INR 300/MT in lumps and INR 200/MT in fines. Currently, spot iron ore fines price (Fe 62%) is assessed at USD 110.20/MT, CFR China.
Amid global supply crises, prices are expected to push up. Also, supply worries caused at NMDC due to tribal's agitation may further increase dispatches from Odisha.
