Odisha: Iron Ore Dispatches Drop 10% in Feb'20

Odisha- India's largest iron ore producing state recorded total iron ore dispatches at 7.49 MnT in Feb'20, down 10% on monthly basis as against 8.33 MnT in Jan'20. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of miners- SAIL & Tata Steel.
As per market sources report to SteelMint, Odisha iron ore bookings have minimized amid concerns over material delivery by 31st Mar 2020. Also, Few major miners had already finished their EC limit, rendering limited production.
Rungta Mines, India's largest private merchant miner, recorded iron ore dispatches at 2.14 MnT in Feb'20, down 10% as against 2.37 MnT a month ago.
Serajuddin mine recorded iron ore dispatches at 1.08 MnT in Feb'20, down 15% as against 1.26 MnT in Jan'20. Serajuddin mine on 13th March lowered its lump offers by INR 500/MT to INR 4,500/MT (Ex-mines). Serajuddin mine produces around 10 MnT iron ore annually and has an EC limit of 15.15 MnT p.a. In the Odisha block auction, the miner retained its Balda block at a premium of 118.05%.
OMC, state-owned miner recorded 19% fall in dispatches to 0.98 MnT for Feb'20 as against 1.21 MnT in Jan'20.
Essel Mining and KJS Ahluwalia depicted drop in monthly dispatches at 0.39 MnT and 0.38 MnT respectively.
