Odisha: Iron Ore Dispatches Drop 5% M-o-M in Sep'18

Odisha - India's largest iron ore producing state recorded dispatches at 6.07 MnT in Sep'18. The dispatch decreased by 5% on monthly basis as against 6.39 MnT in Aug'18 due to monsoon. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of captive miner- SAIL & Tata Steel. However, on yearly basis, iron ore dispatches from Odisha increased marginally in Sep'18 as compared to Sep'17 dispatches at 5.89 MnT.

During (Apr-Sep'18) Odisha iron ore dispatches stood almost stable at 35.60 MnT as compared to same period last year.

Rungta Mines iron ore dispatches decline 12% M-o-M

Odisha's merchant iron ore miner - Rungta Mines, India's largest private merchant miner, dispatched the highest quantity of iron ore at 1.53 MnT in Sep'18. The dispatch recorded decline of 12% M-o-M against 1.75 MnT in Aug'18.

However, Serajuddin Mines has recorded an increase in its iron ore dispatches in Sep'18. The miner dispatched 0.84 MnT in Sep'18, up 14% M-o-M.

KJS Ahluwalia dispatches stood at 0.47 MnT (down 12% M-o-M) and Kaypee Enterprises at 0.46 MnT (down 8% on monthly basis).

Dispatches from Indrani Patnaik recorded at 0.36 MnT (down marginally M-o-M) and Essel Mining at 0.32 MnT (down 22% M-o-M).

KJS Ahluwalia is working to raise the capacity of its Nuagaon iron ore mines from 5.62 to 7.99 MnT p.a and is keen to install beneficiation plant of 2 MnT. Essel Mining has proposed expansion of Koira iron ore mines from 4 to 6 MnT p.a. This may lead to increase in Odisha iron ore dispatches.

Iron ore dispatches from OMC, reduced 18% in Sep'18

OMC, state-owned miner recorded a decrease in dispatches at 0.70 MnT in Sep'18, depicting 18% fall as against 0.86 MnT in Aug'18.
