Odisha Auction 2020 - Debabrata Behera Bagged Siljora Kalimati Mines

Odisha iron ore auctions are underway. Siljora-Kalimati iron ore and Manganese mine was put under the hammer yesterday in which Debabrata Behera emerged as a preferred bidder at a premium of 154%, shared market sources. The mine was reserved for merchant use.

As per sources, Debabrata Behera is a part of Kashvi International.

The mine fetched the highest premium of 82.65% in the technical round. Other prominent bidders were Yazdani Steels, Mangalam Metal & Ores, CP Ispat, Rungta Sons, South West Mining, Altrade , Forway, M Babanna and Vedanta.

Siljora-Kalimati mine was one among the 20 mines that are going to expire on Mar'20 and has been put up for auction. The mine is spread in an area of 715.639 hects. The mine has reserves of 4.022 MnT Manganese ore and 0.7 MnT iron ore.

Mangilal Rungta was the erstwhile leaseholder of Siljora-Kalimati iron ore mine.
