Odisha Auction 2020: Agrasen Sponge Wins Katasahi Manganese Mine

Katasahi Manganese Ore Mine was put under the hammer yesterday (18th Feb) in which Agrasen Sponge Industries Pvt Ltd emerged as a preferred bidder at a premium of 130.30%, shared market sources. The mine was reserved for merchant use.

The mine fetched the highest premium of 53.55% in the technical round. Other prominent bidders were Yazdani Power and Steel Ltd, TP Sao and Sons Pvt Ltd, Rungta Sons Pvt Ltd and PM Granite Export Pvt Ltd.

Katasahi Manganese Ore Mine is amongst the mines that are going to expire on Mar'20 and has been put up for auction. The mine is spread in an area of 196.86 hectares. The mine has EC limit of 19532MT. The mine has reserves of 0.667 MnT Manganese ore. M/s Rungta Mines Ltd. was the erstwhile leaseholder of Katasahi mine.
