Met Coke Imports in India Sink 38.5% Dec'17 M-o-M

In Dec'17, Met Coke imports in India shrunk by 38.5% to 0.24 MnT in comparison with the imports in Nov'17, an analysis on the import data compiled by CoalMint Research shows.
During the last month of 2017, around 0.24 MnT of Met Coke was imported in India. The volume was lower than that of 0.39 MnT, imported in the preceding month, due to the higher offers, forcing the buyers to import less.

On year-on-year comparison, the imports in Dec'17 also had trailed behind the imports of around 0.32 MnT in Dec'16 by 25%.
A break-up of the countries of import during the month under consideration shows that imports from the major nations were lower mainly due to the higher offers.

During the month under review, the Hazira port had handled the highest import traffic.
