Japan Steel Import Statistics, Oct 2019

Japan's raw material & finished steel imports surged M-o-M in Oct'19, as per the custom data maintained with SteelMint.

Raw Materials

Coal- Japanese coal import's registered at 15.95 MnT in Oct'19 up by 3.24% as compared to 15.45 MnT in Sep'19. Also on yearly basis import slightly inched up by 0.25% in Oct'19 when compared with 15.91 MnT in Oct'18.

Iron Ore- On a monthly basis country's iron ore import is registered at 10.15 MnT in Oct'19 up around 0.6% as against 10.09 MnT in Sep'19, whereas on yearly premises import drop by 4.24% in Oct'19 as against 10.6 MnT in Oct'18.

Finished Steel

Finish Long Steel imports by Japan remained stable on monthly as well as on yearly basis and registered at 0.06 MnT in Oct'19, which is the same as against previous month and in the same period of the previous year.

In line Finish Long Stainless Steel imports by Japan stood at 1,771 MT in Oct'19, up by 8.5% as against 1,632 MT in Sep'19 and also on yearly basis import increased by 8.1% in Oct'19 as compared to 1,638 MT in Oct'18.

Finish Flat Steel- Japan imported finish flat steel in Oct'19 at 0.39 MnT which moved up by 11.43% as against 0.35 MnT in Sep'19, while on yearly comparison country's flat steel imports down by 7.14% in Oct'19 as against 0.42 MnT in Oct'18.

Finish Flat Stainless Steel imports by country registered at 18,269 MT in Oct'19, surged by 18.2% as against 15,460 MT in Sep'19 and on a yearly basis also import increased by 14.2% in Oct'19 as compared to 15,995 MT in Oct'18.

Ferro Alloy- Japan's ferro alloy import stood at 0.32 MnT in Oct'19, enlarged by 88.23% as against 0.17 MnT in Sep'19. In line, on a yearly basis ferro alloy import by Japan move up by 10.34% in Oct'19 as against 0.29 MnT in Oct'18.
