Iran's Finished Steel Production Witnessed 9% Y-o-Y Growth, During Mar'19-Aug'19

Iran's finished steel production recorded at 5.83 MnT to book a Y-o-Y growth of 9% during the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Aug. 22). While country's finished steel production for the fifth Iranian month (July 23-Aug. 22) stood at 1.14 MnT to register a 10% Y-o-Y growth.
According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization's latest report, Mobarakeh Steel Company and its subsidiary Saba Steel had the largest share of production with 3.64 MnT to register a Y-o-Y growth of 4%.
MSC was followed by Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) with 948,991 MT (up 4% Y-o-Y). Oxin Steel Company has booked the third spot in the list with 355,896 MT and has registered a Y-o-Y growth of 16%.

On the contrary, the country's semi finished production reached at 8.53 MnT during the five months under review, up 4% Y-o-Y.
MSC, with its subsidiaries Saba and Hormozgan Steel, was the biggest producer with 3.88 MnT, down 1% Y-o-Y. KSC booked second spot with 1.6 MnT, up 1% Y-o-Y, followed by ESCO with 997,470 MT, up 6% Y-o-Y. As for output in the fifth month, a total of 1.67 MnT of slab, bloom, billet and ingot were produced to register a 3% Y-o-Y growth.
