Iran's DRI Production by Major Companies Increase by 25%

Iran, one of the largest producer of DRI in world has witnessed an increase 25% Y-o-Y in DRI production by major steel mills. Major steel manufacturers of Iran has produced 16,513,429 MT DRI during first eight months of current Persian year (21 Mar- 21 Nov'18). Production was up by around 25% Y-o-Y.

Mobarekah Steel was by far the largest manufacture of DRI in Iran during the current Persian year, the company produced 4,896,154 MT DRI. Production was stable during the period.

Khouzestan Steel was the second largest DRI producer during the current Persian year. The company produced 2,471,923 MT DRI in current year by registering a downfall of 10% Y-o-Y.

Other major producers includes HOSCO (1,151,112 MT), South Kaveh Steel (1,022,542 MT), Khorasan Steel (872,453 MT) and Saba Steel (820,010 MT).

Iran Billet and Bloom Production by Major Steel Companies Increases by 24% Y-o-Y

Major Iranian steel manufacturers has produced 5,759,248 MT of billet and bloom during the current Persian year, registered a growth of 24% Y-o-Y.

Khouzestan Steel Company was the largest producer of billet and bloom in current Persian year, the company produced 1,519,092 MT of billet and bloom during the period, registered a downfall of 5% Y-o-Y.

Esfahan Steel Company was the second largest producer of billet and bloom in current Persian year. The company produced 1,468,486 MT bloom in current Persian year, by registering a downfall of 4% Y-o-Y.

South Kaveh Steel was the third largest producer of billet and bloom, followed by Khorasan Steel and Chadormalu with production of 679,495 MT, 675,738 MT and 575,062 MT respectively.

Iran Slab Production by Major Companies Increases by 12% Y-o-Y

Major Iranian steel manufacturers has produced 7,307,581 MT of slab during the current Persian year, registered a growth of 12% Y-o-Y.

Mobarekah Steel Company was the largest producer of Slab during the current Persian year. The company produced 4,500,235 MT during the period, registered a growth of 5% Y-o-Y.

Hormozgan Steel, a subsidiary of MSC, was the second largest producer of slab in current Persian year. The company produced 976,007 MT during the period, registered a growth of 7% Y-o-Y.

Khouzestan Steel was the third largest producer of slab in the nation during the period. The company produced 992,073 MT of slab in current Persian year, registered a growth of 10% Y-o-Y.

Saba Steel produced 733,038 MT slab with growth of 86% Y-o-Y.
