Iranian Billet Export Decreases by 11% in Current Persian Year - ISPA

Iran, one of the largest billet exporter in MENA region has exported 2,298,000 MT billet and bloom during the first nine months of current Persian year (21-Mar till 21-Dec'18). As per the data released by ISPA, export of billet during the period decreased by 11% against 2,582,000 MT exported during the same period of last Persian year.

Khouzastan Steel Company (KSC) was the largest exporter of billet and bloom during the period, the company exported bloom (645,267 MT) and billet (403,761 MT) in current year, registered a downfall of 28% and 34% respectively.

South Kaveh Steel Company (SKSCO) was the second largest exporter of billet, the company exported 493,000 MT billet during the period, registered a growth of 8% Y-o-Y.

Khorasan Steel was the third largest exporter of bloom, the company exported 110,358 MT during the period.

Iranian Slab Export Decreases by 32%

Iran, one of the major exporter of slab exported 1,377,000 MT during the 9 months of current Persian year, registered a downfall of 32% Y-o-Y against 2,032,000 MT.

Khouzastan Steel Company (KSC) was the largest exporter of slab during the period, the company exported 615,144 MT slab in current Persian year, registered a growth of 23% Y-o-Y.

Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO), a subsidiary of MSC, has exported 498,743 MT slab during the period, exports were down by 41% Y-o-Y.

Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC) exported 263,006 MT slab during the current period.

Iranian DRI Export Decreases by 16%

Iran exported 432,000 MT DRI during the 9 months of current Persian year, registered a downfall of % against 517,000 MT exported in last Persian year.
