Iran: Steel Exports Rise by 36% Y-o-Y

Iran's steel exports stood at 9.62 MnT last Iranian year (21 Mar'19- 19 Feb'20) to register a Y-o-Y rise of 35.65%, Iranian Steel Producer's Association data shows.
Semi-Finished Steel Exports-
-- According to the Iranian Steel Producers Association's latest report, semi-finished steel made up 6.35 MnT of the total exports, up 42% Y-o-Y.
-- Billet and bloom exports were recorded at 4.44 MnT while that of slab exports hit 1.91 MnT mark to register a Y-o-Y rise of 52% and 23% respectively.
Finished Steel Exports-
-- The finished steel exports from the country have posted a Y-o-Y growth of 25% to reach 3.27 MnT mark.
-- With 2.49 MnT, long steel products had the major share in finished steel exports, up 35% Y-o-Y. The exports of rebar, L & T beam, and beams were recorded at 2.1 MnT (up 47% Y-o-Y), 211,000 MT (up 12% Y-o-Y), and 181,000 MT (down 19% Y-o-Y) respectively.
-- Flat steel exports from the country reached 777,000 MT to pose a Y-o-Y growth of 2%
-- With 519,000 MT of exports, HRC posted a Y-o-Y decline of 8%
