Iran: Major Mills Finished Steel Exports Up 25% Y-o-Y

During the first eight months of current Iranian year (March 21- November 21), Iran's exports for finished and semi-finished stood at 6.78 MnT to book a Y-o-Y growth of 28.62%, Iranian Steel Producers Association data shows.
Exports of finished steel products book 25% Y-o-Y rise to reach 2.4 MnT. Long steel products had the biggest share of 75.75% in finished products exports with 1.82 MnTand registered a Y-o-Y rise of 44%.
Rebar exports were recorded at 1.55 MnT to book a Y-o-Y rise of 59%.
Meanwhile, the flat steel product exports were recorded at 583,000 MT, down 11% Y-o-Y.Hot-rolled coil grabbed the biggest share in the category with 371,000 MT to witness a Y-o-Y decline of 28%. While coated coil exports was at 119,000 MT, down 2% Y-o-Y, and cold-rolled coil with 93,000 MT, up by 417% Y-o-Y.
Billet & bloom exports up by 48% Y-o-Y - Semi-finished steel exports were recorded at 4.37 MnT to book the share of 64.45% in exports volume. Billet and bloom had the major share in semis exports at 2.95 MnT to mark 48% Y-o-Y rise. Slab followed the list with 1.41 MnT, up 5% Y-o-Y. Exports of direct-reduced iron increased 77% Y-o-Y to 706,000 MT.
KSC continues to remain the largest exporter - With more than 1.26 MnT of exports during the 8-month period under review and 182,483 MT in the eighth month (Oct 23-Nov 21), Khouzestan Steel Company was the Iran's biggest exporter.
The mill experienced a Y-o-Y decline of 17% during the eight months to Nov 21 and 1% in the eighth months under review, data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization show.
Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC), stood the second biggest exporter during the eight-month period as with 1 MnT of exports, up 36% compared to last year's corresponding period.
During the eighth months of the current calendar year, MSC exported 116,103 MT to register 601% Y-o-Y growth.
