Iran: KSC Continues to remain Iran's Largest Steel Exporter

Iran's major steel producing companies exported a total of 5.2 MnT of steel in first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21, 2019) to register a Y-o-Y growth of 19%.

While during the ninth month the companies shipped 485,611 MT and booked a Y-o-Y growth of 91% increase compared with the same month of the year before.

Khouzestan Steel Company reported its export figures for the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21, 2019). The company's export were recorded at 1.37 MnT for the first nine months and 108,127 MT for the ninth month of Iranian year.

However, according latest data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, the company has experienced a Y-o-Y decline of 17% during first nine months and 22% decline in ninth month.

Mobarakeh Steel Company booked the second biggest exporter label during the nine-month period. The company shipped 1.1 MnT of steel, up 47% compared with last year's corresponding period. During the ninth month, company exported 99,047 MT to register a Y-o-Y growth of 648%.

Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) ranked third with 881,752 MT of steel exports during the nine months, up 30% compared with last year's corresponding period. During the ninth month, ESCO exported 102,678 MT to register a Y-o-Y increase of 603%.
