Iran: KSC Concludes 30,000 MT Billet Deal to SE Asia

Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC) - one of the leading exporters of Iran had floated an export tender for the billet of quantity 30,000 MT. According to sources report to SteelMint, the company has concluded the tender. The deal value was noted to be around USD 345-350/MT, FoB Iran. The shipment is scheduled for early Jun'20. Cargo has been booked for SE Asia, SteelMint learned from its reliable sources.

Even before last week, the company had booked 30,000 MT billets to China at the same price levels; USD 350/MT, FoB Iran for May shipment. The Iranian government has pulled off the lockdown from the country recently. And thus, the mills are enjoying the trades in both the markets; domestic and exports. However, the realizations are better in the domestic market, SteelMint learned from the trade sources.
