Iran: DRI output gains in Mar-Jun by 12%

Iran produced 8.21 mn t DRI during the first three months of the Persian year (20 Mar-20 Jun'20), a growth of 12% y-o-y from 7.33 mn t production during the same period last year, according to data provided by mining conglomerate IMIDRO.
Mobarekah Steel Company was the largest manufacturer of DRI in this period, with output growing by 3% y-o-y to 2.05 mn t.
Khouzestan Steel was the second-largest DRI producer with output growing by 15% to 1.25 mn t.
Other major producers included Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company (421,381 MT), South Kaveh Steel (420,796 mt), Gol Gohar-1 (410,188 MT), HOSCO (401,472 MT) and Saba Steel (401,472 MT).
