Infograph: Brazil Pellet Exports Down 37% Y-o-Y CY19

Brazil's pellet exports were recorded at 24.2 MnT, down by 37% Y-o-Y against 38.4 MnT from previous year.

--Amid Vale's dam disaster in Jan'19, miner's iron ore & pellet output witnessed a decline. In Sept'19, Vale reduced pellet production guidance for the year to 43 MnT from previous guidance of 45 MnT. Later in Nov'19, the miner lowered iron ore and pellet sales guidance to 307-312 MnT for CY19 against previous set guidance of 307-332 MnT.

--China's pellet import volumes from Brazil rose to 4.7 MnT by 49.2% Y-o-Y in 2019.
--Export volumes to United States and Japan decreased by 12.3% and 40.1 respectively.
