India's Vizag Steel Concludes 10,000 MT Billet Export Tender - Sources

India's Vizag Steel had floated a tender for export of 10,000 MT billets. The offered material was of grade IS 2830 GR A of size 90*90mm having length of 12 meters. The material delivery was scheduled by 15 Jun'18.
The due date for bid submission was 09 May'18 till 11:00 hrs.
Last week SteelMint reported that the tender fetched bid above USD 530/MT, FoB India. In the latest update received on the same, the steel maker has concluded the tender and as per sources the concluded price is around USD 531-532/MT, FoB India.
Global Billet export market overview:
1. CIS billet (125*125mm) export price assessment moved up further by USD 5/MT W-o-W and stands at USD 515-520/MT, FoB Black Sea.
2. Billet import prices in SE Asian nations assessed at USD 550-560/MT, CFR basis, up by USD 5/MT on weekly basis.
3. Billet export price assessment from Iran have increased and are heard at USD 500-507/MT, FoB Iran compared to previous week's assessment of USD 480-490/MT, FoB.
4. Domestic billet prices in China increased. Today price of Q235 billet (150*150mm) in Tangshan moved up to RMB 3,660/MT (incld 17% VAT), up by RMB 10/MT D-o-D.
5. Domestic billet prices in India have observed a marginal increase yesterday. Presently price of 125*125mm billet is at INR 35,800-36,000/MT (GST extra, Ex-Mumbai).
