India's SAIL to Begin Exports from Paradip Port - Dharmendra Pradhan

Union Minister of Steel Shri Dharmendra Pradhan informed that SAIL will start commence its operations for exports from Paradip Port. He also said that the number of containerized shipments has increased for catering to smaller sized export orders.

During FY'19, the saleable steel sales of SAIL were 14.11 MnT and the same in the current financial year FY20( till Dec'19) are about 10.7 MnT, which is a growth of about 7.7% over CPLY, he said while replying to a question in the Lok Sabha.

SAIL has made efforts to improve customer services through introduction of new brands of reinforcement Bars & Parallel Flanged Structurals, Digital Payment Methods, Door-delivery, Incentivisation of local MSMEs around its Plants etc.
