Durgapur pellet offers increased marginally: In Durgapur SteelMint's reference, pellet price increased by INR 100/MT to INR 5,600-5,800/MT (ex-Durgapur, GST extra), against INR 5,500-5,700/MT beginning of last week. One of the major pellet makers from Durgapur has taken maintenance shut down.
P-DRI prices in Durgapur currently at INR 17,500/MT (Ex-plant).
Southern India pellet offers move up: Southern India (Bellary) based pellet makers increased pellet prices slightly by INR 100/MT to INR 6,400-6,600/MT (ex-Bellary) against last offer at INR 6,400-6,500/MT. One of the major pellet makers from Bellary continues to be on maintenance shut down. One of the pellet makers from Bellary concluded 2000 MT pellet deal at INR 6,600/MT yesterday. Another pellet maker has concluded around 15,000 MT pellet deal (for Karnataka and T.N both) at INR 6,600/MT last week.
P-DRI prices in Bellary increased by INR 200/MT W-o-W to INR 16,700/MT as against INR 16,500/MT last week.
Raipur based pellet offers stable-: Raipur (Central India) pellet makers have kept offers firm this week. Current offers for Fe 63% grade pellet is at INR 6,200/MT (ex-Raipur, GST extra). Last week amid high pellet transactions pellet makers from Raipur had hike pellet offers by INR 200/MT. No transaction reported this week on increased pellet offers.
P-DRI prices in Raipur witnessed a hike of INR 300/MT on weekly basis to INR 16,700/MT as against last week assessment at INR 16,400/MT (ex-Raipur).
Indian pellet trade updates:
-- Western India (Rajasthan) based pellet maker -Jindal SAW kept pellet (Fe 63%) offers stable at INR 8,100/MT (delivered Kandla).
--- Jamshedpur offers for pellet witnessed at INR 5,500-5,700/MT (Ex-plant). Jamshedpur based pellet maker sold around 25,000 MT pellet last week at INR 5,600/MT.
-- Monnet Ispat Ltd (Raigarh) is offering pellets at INR 6000/MT (Ex-plant) and concluded a deal for 1,000-1,500 MT P-DRI at INR 16,000/MT (Ex-plant) yesterday.
