India's Domestic Pellet Trade Log : Week 37, 2019

According to the market sources reported to SteelMint, learned that Indian pellet market has witnessed decent deals this week. Below are the recent trades:

-- A central India based pellet maker yesterday concluded a pellet deal for 20,000 MT at INR 6,000/MT (Ex-plant) in the local Raipur market.

-- NMDC's Donimalai plant in Karnataka sold around 5,500 MT pellet at INR 6000/MT (FoT Basis). The company had rolled over pellet prices for Sept'19.

-- A Pellet manufacturer from Bellary (Karnataka) concluded 2,000 MT pellet (Fe 63%) at INR 6,500/MT (Ex-plant) yesterday.

-- BMM Ispat Ltd yesterday concluded 6,000-7,000 MT pellet (Fe 63%) deal at INR 6,650/MT (Ex-plant). The manufacturer is soon going to take maintenance shut down for next 15-20 days.

-- A Kalingnagar based steel unit is learned to have booked 200,000 MT pellets for Sept from Odisha based plants. Indicative pellet prices for Barbil region is learned around INR 5,900/MT loaded to wagons. Out of this, around 120,000 MT pellet was booked from Keonjhar based plant at around INR 5,950- 6,000/MT (Loaded).
