Indian Pellet Export Trades Resume After Holidays

Trades in Indian pellet export market have regained momentum after the labour day holidays in China.

According to market sources report to SteelMint, a central India based pellet maker has concluded one export for low Al content today (i.e 8th May). The deal has been concluded at around USD 105/MT, for mid-June shipment.

In addition to it, a west Bengal based pellet maker is heard to have concluded pellet export deal this week to China at around USD 102/MT, CFR.

A trader was also heard to have concluded a pellet export deal of Odisha origin this week.

Earlier at the end of last month, Central India based pellet maker had concluded three-vessels of pellet export (for low Alumina) at around USD 105/MT, CFR China. Other export vessels booked for Fe 64%, 3% Al from Raipur at around USD 101-102/MT, CFR China.

In this week, spot pellet premium for Fe 65% grade pellets was assessed at USD 25/MT, CFR China as against USD 26.35/MT, CFR China a week back.
