Indian Mill Concludes HRC Export Deal to Bangladesh

Market participants in conversation with SteelMint shared that, recently a a major Indian steel mill has booked HRC to Bangladesh for Feb end or early March shipments.

A major private steelmaker based in western region has concluded deal of around 5000 MT of HRC (1.8-2mm thickness) with Bangladesh based major mill in the range of USD 510-515/MT CFR Chittagong port for Feb end or early March shipments.(Tentative freight from Indian to Bangladesh is around USD 35/MT)

Meanwhile in another deal, an Indian mill also concluded around 10,000 MT of HRC with Bangladesh based mill at USD 507-510/MT CFR Chittagong for Feb end or early March shipments.

Offers from Chinese mills to Bangladesh -This week imported HRC offers to Bangladesh from China remained stable.

Currently imported HRC (1.8-2mm) offers to Bangladesh is assessed around USD 530-535/MT CFR Chittagong for Feb/March shipments.Last week the offers remained at similar levels only.
