The Indian Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties under the Ministry Of Industry and Commerce has extended anti dumping duty on imports of Ductile Iron Pipes from China PR, falling under tariff of 73030030 & 73030090.

Earlier on 10th Oct'13, the government had imposed anti dumping duty. Duties were in the range of over USD 127.40 to USD 139.70/MT for the period of 5 years which was due to expire on 10th Oct 2018.

To extend this duty, the application was filed by Electrosteel Casting Ltd., Srikalahasti Pipes Ltd., and Jindal Saw Ltd. They claimed that, the Pipe exported by China PR has injured Indian steel industry, there for anti-dumping duties should be extended to rescue industries.
