India's induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed a positive price trend. Offers rose in the range of INR 200-1,800/tonne (t) d-o-d on 30 November'2022.
Sponge iron prices increased by INR 500-1,000/t across regions. The maximum hike was seen in the Raipur market.
Billets prices also went up by INR 350-1,800/t with the maximum rise seen in the Mumbai market.
Moreover, rebars (Fe 500) offers increased by INR 200-1,500/t with a major rise seen in Maharashtra's Jalna market.
Active demand for finished steel products was seen today specially in the central and eastern India. This influenced suppliers to keep offers on the higher side, SteelMint notes.
