India's induction furnace (IF) steel market prices continued following the negative trend on 17 October, 2023 across regions. Offers floated by the mills dropped in the range of INR 100-600/tonne (t) d-o-d compared to the previous trading session.
Sponge iron prices fell in the range of INR 200-600/t. The sharpest drop was seen in the Durgapur market.
Billet prices fell in the range of INR 100-550/t across all the regions, with the Ramgarh market witnessing the steepest fall.
Rebar (Fe 500) offers declined in the range of INR 200-600/t. The sharpest drop was seen in the Rourkela and Delhi markets.
The movement in the spot market remained slow today, as buyers preferred to stay on the sidelines.
